Founded in 2014, Tetrion Capital Limited is a proprietary trading firm that finds alpha through machine learning. Driven by technology, our firm is composed of quantitative traders, software engineers, and mathematicians who work together as a team to drive our trading operation. We are constantly conducting research and analysis to enhance our strategies and develop new technologies. Our goal is to provide liquidity to markets to make sure they work fairly and efficiently for all participants.
Our people are our greatest resources, and we put a lot of effort into handpicking candidates that will make innovative, synergistic teams. Our core market making team brings experience from exchanges across the globe - including years of experience market making for HKEX and as a liquidity provider for Taifex. We bring experience from top firms and universities from all over the world and have backgrounds in computer science, engineering, mathematics and physics.
In 2014, Kenny Chang founded Tetrion Capital to create a home for talented individuals who love beating the market with sweat and ingenuity. Previously, Kenny was head of Asia for a New York-based HFT firm, where he built the Asia business from the ground up and lead it to new levels of profitability. In the quantitative finance industry since 2001, Kenny also spearheaded the electronic transformation of the U.S. options industry for a leading firm on Wall Street.
Born in Taiwan, Kenny immigrated to New York at the age of nine. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT and did his graduate work at the MIT Media Lab. He has a profound passion for science and technology and always loves to take on any challenge.
